JEFF DAUGHERTY-Vice President & General Manager

A veteran employee of 15 years with Welton Enterprises responsible for all the day to day operations of the company and the Welton Enterprises properties. Manages and coordinates responsibility for multiple fiscal functions, including budget preparation and control, purchasing, and business resources.

Jeff manages and develops techniques for quality control, cost reductions, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and company performance measures. Supervises and coordinates all aspects of the buildings to ensure they function to an optimum level of performance for the company and for the tenants.

Provides expertise, supervision, planning, and daily coordination for management of all corporate facilities, including building maintenance equipment, capital improvements, sanitation and safety, budgeting, record-keeping and reporting. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals and objectives of the company and the customer are met.

Jeff is licensed as a broker in the State of WI, and is a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), the Wisconsin Self Storage Association (WSSA), and the Commercial Brokers Group. IFMA is the worlds largest and most widely recognized international association for professional facility managers with more than 19,000 members in 60 countries which manages more than 37 billion square feet of property and annually purchases more than $100 billion in products and services.

Jeff was the Employee of the Year in 2006 for consistently going above and beyond and having a great positive "Can Do" attitude.

DAN A. RAMSEY-Director of Marketing, the newest member of the Welton Enterprises family, graduated in 1966 from the Madison Business College with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a Major in Accounting. Dan is currently the Director of Marketing at Welton Enterprises.

Prior to joining Welton Enterprises Dan started his career in public accounting, then moved into manufacturing as Controller/Treasurer of the Coca Cola Bottling Company, Madison, and then as Controller/Personnel Director of Gardner Baking Company, Madison, a Division of Heileman Brewing Company. After 20 years in manufacturing Dan became the Executive Director of the Wisconsin World Trade Center-Madison, after which he took a position with the State of Wisconsin, Department of Commerce, as an Economic Development Specialist serving the small communities throughout Wisconsin in their economic development efforts. At the Department of Commerce Dan earned an Economic Development Financial Professional Certification from the National Development Council. Dan has also been active in residential real estate income property ownership, management and development for the past 35 years.

In addition, Dan served 30 years in a part-time elective position on the City of Middleton, Wisconsin, Common Council, first as alderman for 4 years, then as its Mayor for 26 years. During that time Dan directed the activities of the City by:

Improving the City’s bond credit rating twice, established by Moody’s Investors Service of New York; Developing the City highest equalized valuation in the County, outside the City of Madison, with the lowest mill rate, which allowed the City to prosper; Providing a new library, expanded City Hall, EMS, and public works facilities while at the same time investing in parks and open spaces to the extent the City of Middleton now has over 25% in parks, trails, and open spaces; Developing economic development initiatives, including a $10 million downtown revitalization project, an industrial park expansion, and a $50 million comprehensive downtown and business park development project; Attracting the areas first major Trade and Convention Center, a 50,000 square foot facility with an attached 300 room hotel; Purchasing a 300 acre 27 hole golf course facility and expanding into a 36 hole course, investing $10 million; Purchasing and developed the Middleton Municipal Airport, Morey Field, a general aviation airport serving the Business Community, investing $12 million.

Dan has also served as President of the Middleton Metropolitan Refuse District, President of the Middleton Community Foundation, Director of the Middleton Area Development Corporation, Chair of the Middleton Community Development Authority, Member of the Middleton Chamber of Commerce, a past member of the Kiwanis and Optimists Service clubs, and a life member of the Middleton Historical Society.
